On Friday, our Computer Science students visited IBM offices on York Road. IBM had prepared an enlightening and varied afternoon for the students. They were able to see the Quantum Computer up close, hear all about the Mayflower, IBM's AI controlled ship in an immersive room and see Spot the robotic dog perform functions that would be too dangerous for humans to perform. They then participated in a Careers panel with some IBMers who spoke openly and honestly about their experiences and helped our students understand what it takes when applying for jobs and apprentice schemes.

Thank you to IBM for being so generous with your time.
